I did it!!!!!

Today was the Race for Life at Lincoln Showground. It started off sunny and not that chilly, but the good old English weather soon kicked in and we had a steady drizzle. Kept us cool whilst running, but made the grass slippery and we all came home wet!

It took ages to get into the showground because of the amount of people attending this year. The had to delay the start by half an hour because of this.

They split you into two groups - the runners and the walkers. Jenny, Jane, Emma, Sara and her daughter Katie went to the walkers, and I went to the runners with Mollie and Hallie.
It was a struggle to get through the starting post, and then within 200m people started walking and got in the way of the runners! Us three girls ploughed through then we lost Mollie.

Hallie and I completed the 5K in 33mins (11mins quuicker than last year).
Mollied 43mins (same as last year), Jenny did hers in 48mins (8 mins quicker than last year) and the other girls came in at 57mins.

Well done Girls!!!! Keep up the training for the July Race for Life.
