Home At Last

The cyclists made it home yesterday afternoon to a big welcome on the playing fields in Harby. The bbq's were lit and ready to go and the beer on ice! Sam and Hallie Joined them for the final 25 miles. They all cycled in to a round of applause - but one cyclist and myself missed it, why? We were at casualty :-(

Poor Brian, with only 4 miles to go, hit a stump and off he came dislocating his finger.
I picked him up at 2.50pm and we headed straight off to A&E. He was seen very quickly, x-rayed, then called again for the putting right of the digit, then x-rayed again, then a quick check then off we went. Left the hospital at 4.30 - an hour and 20 mins later after walking through their doors.

Headed back into Harby, where we were met by Phil and his bike - Brian cycled into the playground with one arm in a sling to such a welcome home - how fab!

Goodness knows what the group are planning next.......
