Clumber Park Steam Fair

Having been turned away at the Waddington Air Show, we arrived back home and received a phone call from my parents informing us of a Steam Fair at Clumber Park.

It was very wet and muddy under foot but this didn't stop people attending this event. There were lots of steam engines, steam organs, old tractors, motorbikes and caravans. We saw a little wippet type dog have a race with a falcon bird of prey and the dog won! We then witnessed dogs pulling carts which Beth thought was funny and I am sure our little dog will be pulling some form of cart around the garden soon! We only had to take cover from the rain once which was lucky.

When we arrived back home, we discovered that it had been dry all day in sunny Wigsley!

Lucky so and so's. Our local steam fair which I so look forward to every year had to be called off. The ground was just too wet for the heavy machinery.

I so love sitting with a pint of beer, a clotted cream scone and watching the steam engines trundle by. Such an English scene I feel.

The big old old tractors were towing out the modern campervans - what a site!

Saw no clotted cream scones and the beer tent was empty - not only of people but beer!

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view
