Thought I would have a go at making our own mince meat this year so we have just finished soaking the fruit. All I need to do now is bake it for 3 hours tomorrow night along with the cake.

Christmas cake
The children and I have just soaked all our dry ingredients in Brandy ready to make the Christmas cake tomorrow night. I have a fresh bottle of brandy on hand to keep poking holes in the cake once cold to pour the brandy in to keep it moist hic!
Thought I would have a go at making our own mince meat this year so we have just finished soaking the fruit. All I need to do now is bake it for 3 hours tomorrow night along with the cake.
