Our rimary school broke up for the summer hols today. All the children had to bring packed lunches as the kitchen was closed for a refit and paint. They all had a big indoor picnic! One of the Governors has an ice cream machine and brought this in for all the children to have an end of term ice cream.
This afternoon we had our Gold and Silver assembley, where every child received a Merit card for their achievements. Sam and Beth got their Bronze and Silver awards. Beth even got her Gold award.
Also in this assembley we said our Goodbyes to Year 6. Quite an emotional assembley where they told us about their memories whilst at school. Poor Jack was too emotional to read out his memoirs, which then turned in to many wet eyes! The assembley was then finished of with a slide show of the year 6 children throughout their 6 years.
Emotional afternoon.
